In late June 2024, our Polish team co-organized Czyste Tatry event in Zakopane, aligning with Kingspan’s Planet Passionate goals.
Over two days, more than 2,000 volunteers gathered to clean the Tatra Mountains and participated in various eco-activities. The event featured an educational village with ecological workshops, sports, mental health activities, games, and contests.
On the second day, volunteers hit the Tatra Mountain trails, collecting a record-low 248.47 kg of waste, reflecting increased environmental awareness. The event also included a 5-kilometer charity run. As part of the initiative, Czysta Polska Association will plant one tree for each participant, and Biedronka decided to double that number. Our colleagues actively participated in this race and proudly won medals.
We believe events like this are essential to draw attention to littering in nature and are a great way to promote pro-ecological attitudes and change bad habits.
