It’s time to celebrate: A 200-year-old house gets its first district heating connection
Earlier this week in the historic area of "Bondebyen" in Kongens Lyngby (DK), the first customer was connected to the district heating network. It was a truly special moment, as this first connected house is over 200 years old and protected.
The milestone was marked with a great event with a coffee cart and the participation of the client, consultant, road authority, main contractor, and many dedicated subcontractors and suppliers.
This is Denmark’s largest district heating project, and we are incredibly proud to be part of it.
For those interested in the technical side, the pipe system for this project is a low-temperature PE-RT plastic pipe system: LOGSTOR PertFlextra system. The great advantage of this pipe system is the fast installation and the fact that it’s ideal for complex projects where space is limited and can be navigated around obstacles without requiring additional connections.
