Building the Future of Kiruna with LOGSTOR ReCase
Kiruna, a town in northern Sweden, has been undergoing a major transformation since 2020, relocating its town center due to ground deformations caused by mining. To ensure a reliable supply of heat and water to the new city center, the local energy company Tekniska Verken chose the LOGSTOR ReCase solution for their new pipeline.
From March 2023 to May 2024, we have delivered 7,700 meters of DN 406/630 pipes along with numerous fittings, joints, and other components from our Danish factory. The pipeline will transport waste heat from mining operations, reducing environmental impact and delivering significant savings:
